The spirit of Emmeline Row, a settler inhabitant of the 1880s homestead and garden, lingers uneasily. Aware that processes of colonisation continue to impinge upon today, she cannot rest.

She merges with and reflects qualities of her environment - affects by place are inscribed over time upon her body. She has acquainted deeply and etched a presence.

And after all, she has nowhere else to go.
